For those that have graded under Sensei George in the past, not only at the Institute but around the world, know that it is no easy task and that everyone is given equal opportunity to achieve their goal irrespective of Ability, Gender, Race, Religious Conviction, Maturity or Sexual Preference. And this weekend in March 2011 was no different; the only thing we lacked was electricity due to a power cut on Sunday and after all the efforts of the Electricity Board to restore normal service it was not until the Grading and the Sayonara Party were over that they managed to restore the service however, nothing would deter the efforts of all the candidates that were grading and after 9 hours training and 3 hours of grading all candidates were awarded for their efforts. I was impressed with the determination of all the candidates and their efforts to achieve their goal, particularly a young girl from Sensei Dave Amber’s Dojo who put her heart and sole into the examination, so after reading the results it was time for celebrations with a nice warm fire to keep everyone happy.
