Gasshuku means community - eating, sleeping and training together. There are many gasshuku run every year around the world, however in July every year a large European gasshuku is organised with many instructors including Morio Higaonna Sensei, and Sensei from around Europe, Japan and the rest of the world. The first European gasshuku was held in 1979 in Poole, England, the occasion at which the IOGKF was founded. A gasshuku has been held every year since, with the exception of those years in which the Budosai is held in Okinawa. Please follow the links below to read reports of gasshuku held since 2002.
