I was honoured to have received an invitation from Sensei Tony Christian to conduct a joint seminar in his Dojo. Sensei Tony and I go back a long time and it was great to be able to catch up with hime again. The course was a great success with a good turnout, around 40 Dansha from all regions made the journey. Sensei Tony started the training and then in turns we did 30 minute stints, covering self – defence and foot work.
That evening we had a wonderful meal, with lots of dishes and by the time the main meal arrived everyone was full. I for oneI could not eat another thing. We retired to Sensei Tony's home with some of his members. We talked about the old days when Sensei's Tony and Bob and myself taught in Liverpool in the early 70's.
The next course will be in October (to be arranged) at my dojo in London and everyone will be welcome.* There will also be a lecture and slide presentation by a Consultant Surgeon on the implication on Karate injuries, blows and attacks that are sustained in the street.
This will be interesting and educational for everyone that practices Martial Arts, I would like to thank my friend Sensei Tony and his students for their support, look forward to seeing you all again soon.
