Saifa

A member of Sheffield Hallam Dojo gave an impromptu demonstration of Saifa at a Gala and was given this poem below by a member of Sheffield Women's Writers Group

Saifa

Is this a dance?
Is he in a trance?

Just now he joked and smiled
And now he stands and teases
Whilst we rack our brains
To find some words which pleases!

He calls it Saifa
The focus is inwards
The concentration faultless
Each movement surprises
Precision's minute
Now threatening
Now sidestepping
Until the smile returns
With a gracious bow
And he begins again
Is this a dance?
Is he in a trance?
