Martial Arts and Politics

Martial arts is about physical exercise and mental development with spiritual inspiration, however, politics is the process and method of making decisions for groups. Although it is generally applied to governments, politics is also observed in all human group interactions including corporate, academic, and religious fields.

Politics has nothing to do with training and the technological aspects of Budo and the future development of the pursuit of excellence in physical movement. This is the responsibility of the people that are physically active and are supervised by reputable people that receive instruction from world class and respected instructors, and train a least twice a year with them.

So much of the Martial Arts World is run by business people that the true essences are diluted and become misconstrued, through the lack of Budo understanding, for example the Japanese Yakuza (Mafia) respect Budo and Martial Arts, in fact most of them practice one form of another, their respect is second to none for Budo.

In fact disrespect for seniority and proficiency will see outcast or death, westerners can learn from this concept.
