Polish Contingent Visits Honbu Dojo
A group of people from Poland came to the Institute for private trainings last week and the training was for 4 hour a day with 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the evening which left enough time for Sight – Seeing for the rest of the day.
Training was dominated by Kata and Bunkai and then they were also introduced to skipping routine which they found quite amusing, it’s a discipline that one should not overlook as it is beneficial to footwork and coordination I explained.
But it was not all about training they managed to visit the famous British Museum, Natural History Museum and the Imperial War Museum which are free to enter which is a bonus especially for the Children and Madame Tussauds for which you have to purchase a ticket.
To finish their stay, on Sunday evening we had a BBQ of which everyone satisfied their appetites and quenched their thirst. I would like to thank Sensei Thomas Siewkowski for his support in bringing the group to England.
And I look forward to seeing the Polish contingent again in 2011.
