Karate Ni Senti Nashi (There exists no first attack in Karate)

The bible of Karate is the Kata, every Kata starts with a block, that is in Goju – Ryu

The ready position of the hands, showing the left hand over the right hand, indicates gentleness over coming strength, our behaviour towards our fellow human beings is to be calm and tranquil, and greet them with a salutation.

The various techniques that are executed, display an adversary trying to invade one’s privacy and liberty, and the defender is executing their right of movement and equality.

The defender displays the ability, to control and isolate the situation, with the minimal effort, thus disengaging further conflict.

As to the end, an indication that from where you came, you must return
