The new home of Kaguy Samye Dzong London

The new Tibetan Buddhist Centre had its opening on Saturday the 17th March 2007 at the famous Manor Place Baths in the Elephant and Castle in southeast London. In attendance was the Right Honorable Simon Hughes M.P and the Vice Mayor Eliza Mann, and the Lama Yeshe. I was invited to attend which gave me great honour. The centre is open to everyone, Buddhist and none Buddhist alike.

A lot of work has been done by nearly all the members of the order, without their help it would have been impossible to open on time.

As a child almost 50 years ago I used to swim at the baths until it closed down, I also represented my School in boxing tournaments and swimming galas there. The building is listed and the Buddhist Order was able to secure a 5 year lease from the Borough Council.
