A day with Nakamura SenseiNakamura Sensei

After I received an email to say that Nakamura Sensei would be in London on a long stop over, en route to South Africa to assist Higaonna Sensei at the Gasshuku there, I decided to go to the airport and take him for tour of London.

I drove to the airport to meet with him and we returned to my home, where he could freshen up. I took him to see the famous Cutty Sark in Greenwich London and to the wonderful market, which houses a wide variety of arts, crafts and antiques. Then it was time to eat, noodle soup and Japanese dumplings satisfied our appetites, and then it was back to my house to relax. After an interesting chat, it was time to leave for the airport.

On the way there, Nakamura Sensei was very tired and drifted of to sleep, with another 8 hour flight in front of him I can really understand. It was great to be able to offer him the chance to be with a friend and visit some sights instead of just sitting in the airport.

I wish a big success to the Gasshuku and my dear friend, Sensei Bakkies Laubscher.
