I can only go on the feedback from the children that
attended the trip, and their words when is the next camping trip?
There will be two camping trip a year, the last weekend
of May and the August bank holiday 2006, all children are welcome.
The van loaded with all the essentials, we made our
way to Folly Farm, where I can only speak with gratitude, for the generosity
that we receive from the proprietors and staff, without their help this
trip would not be possible.
13 children and five helpers were able to enjoy what
would have been an impossible venture, team work with initiative and cooperation,
was explained during the emergence of the tents. On this trip I took a
back seat and enabled the children to participate in Acrobats and Gymnastics,
which they all enjoyed very much. However, it was not all relaxation for
me, some of the helpers are black belts that assist me and for
their efforts I gave them one two one tuition, as a token of my gratitude
for their help in looking after the children.
But it was not all about training, the children went
swimming at a place called The Rapids where in the confines
of a well supervised swimming pool, the children were able to feel the
force of rushing water. After about an hour and a half, appetites needed
to be fulfilled, with this in mind we made our way back to the campsite
where a welcoming fire and B.B.Q was waiting, after appetites were satisfied,
and a bed time story it was lights out for the children.
The next day would see the same, but with a trip to
the Intec centre in Hants, where children can have hands on experience
with science, a wonderful place quite captivating where you can learn
a lot.
That afternoon after a bite to eat the children were
divided into groups, and were asked who would like to participate in a
nature trail, all hands were up, if you would like to know what we did,
contact me and I will let you know.
